具体来说，Velas生态内对各节点有个评分系统，如果一个节点处理的交易数多、抵押的代币数多、打包出块成功的次数多、作恶记录少、节点在线时间长离线时间短，那么，这个节点的得分就高，反之亦然。AI通过这些加权评估得出客观数据，从而决定究竟由谁来抵押代币、负责出块，以用最优方式来维护系统。
随着这些方面的改进，AI优化网络往往能产生最佳结果，从而降低共识的成本。凭借着AI的快速处理和响应能力，Velas的TPS最高可扩展至3万以上。
