Velo Labs is building a unique federated credit exchange network. The network is powered by the Velo Protocol, a blockchain financial protocol that provides businesses with digital credit issuance and borderless asset transfers through a system of smart contracts. The project's core mission is to enable partners to deliver value securely and reliably between each other in a timely and transparent manner. To this end, the Velo protocol enables its partners to issue digital credit through a smart contract layer, with transactions processed and settled using the Stellar consensus protocol. Within its ecosystem, the Velo Protocol supports multiple business use cases, all based on its core functionality: issuing collateral-backed digital credit, corresponding to any fiat currency that can be used for frictionless transfer of value.
