NEST Protocol是基于以太坊网络开发的去中心化价格预言机网络。NEST定义并实现了一种全新的在区块链上生成链上价格的方案。其采用市场博弈理论，通过矿工双向报价的方式将链下市场的价格同步产生于链上，并结合NEST报价挖矿机制，对矿工进行激励，使其成为一套逻辑闭环的分布式报价系统，完美的将链下价格同步在链上生成出来，形成NEST价格预言机。
在 Nest 的设计中，用户可以作为一个挖矿的矿工直接参与指定交易对的报价并获得对应的 NEST 代币奖励。同时在矿工报价的验证期内，如果有套利者发现矿工的报价偏离市场价格，就可以直接用该报价买下对应资产完成套利，不过在完成套利的同时，套利者需要重新报一个价出来。如果矿工的报价在验证期内没有完全成交的话，就会作为一个生效报价参与形成最后的区块价格，第三方的 DeFi 合约就可以调用该区块价格作为价格预言机来使用。目前Fortube 和 dForce 正在集成 Nest 的价格预言机服务，他们有可能成为第一家正式接入 Nest 价格预言机的 DeFi 协议。
