Bitcoin Standard Hashrate Token (BTCST) Intro

November 2020 BTCST initial issuance with 100 PH/s of standardized Bitcoin mining power tokenized into 1,000,000 tokens. January 2021 Atlas Mining, BTC.TOP, Easy2Mine, Genesis Mining, and Hengjia Group, industrial scale Bitcoin miners representing 12% of Bitcoin&rsquo;s global hashrate as of January 2021, joined BTCST as tokenizing miners, bringing total supply of BTCST to 1,500,000. February 2021 Community passed vote to redenominate BTCST. After the redenomination took effect, one previous BTCST became 10 new BTCSTs. Each new BTCST represented 0.01 TH/s of standardized Bitcoin mining power, and total supply of BTCST became 15,000,000. There was no token swap or new token issuance; valuation of BTCST remained unchanged. March 2021 Community passed vote to stop new issuance of BTCST. Total supply of BTCST will remain at 15,000,000 pending future community votes. April 2021 Community passed vote to implement &tau;, a protocol to harness proof-of-work mining to synthesize new assets. A new version of BTCST dApp enabled users to stake BTCSTs to mine &tau;Bitcoin, a synthetic form of Bitcoin supported by 12% of Bitcoin&rsquo;s global hashrate and which is optimized for DeFi uses.
