Threshold Network

Threshold Network is a platform that protects the privacy of users' information and digital assets while using a public blockchain. Threshold is the merger of two projects, Keep Network and NuCypher, both of which build privacy technologies for public blockchains.
At the core of this unified network is the ability to encrypt, store, and transmit private data using Keep's off-chain containers. Smart contracts can access these "reservations" without compromising the privacy of the user or the transparency of the network. This technology has become the basis of important solutions such as tBTC becoming the most trusted BTC bridge in DeFi.
On top of this infrastructure, the network will run NuCypher's popular privacy tool. These include managing secrets across different environments, granting and revoking access to sensitive information, and handling encrypted data without exposing it. The Threshold network will also include NuCypher's proxy re-encryption tool for delegating decryption authority.
Threshold is a community-driven network that is transitioning to Threshold DAO, which includes members from Keep and NuCypher. Threshold DAO will consist of a three-pronged governance structure with distinct responsibilities. StakerDAO has most of the decision-making power, while TokenHolderDAO manages funds, token issuance, and governance changes. An elected committee composed of Keep and NuCypher representatives sets staker rewards and has the power to veto proposals.
Going forward, Threshold will be a one-stop solution for user sovereignty, with a comprehensive set of tools.
