Flork is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 meme token, named Flork and symbolized as FLORD. ERC-20 is a common token standard on Ethereum, facilitating transfers between wallets and exchanges. The token appeared in April 2023, inspired by the minimalist &quot;Flork&quot; emoji/mascot (the same quirky character also appears in the Grok and X cultural circles). It launched in a relatively simple &quot;fair-launch&quot; manner: there was no pre-sale or large-scale team allocation, the total supply was large, but there was almost no publicity in the early stages. For the next few years, the project remained largely dormant until a community takeover and its popularity on X (formerly Twitter) related to memes—after being put in the spotlight of social media memes, the price soared in a short period of time, bringing huge returns to long-term holders and attracting the attention of a large number of high-risk speculators (commonly known as &quot;degen&quot;). It is now considered the OG Flork of Ethereum, emphasizing community-driven growth.
