Bitcoin payment coverage expands to over 4 million merchants, Square expects deployment completion on November 10

Odaily Planet Daily News: Bitcoin News posted on X platform stating that Jack Dorsey's Square is expected to complete a phased rollout on November 10, expanding Bitcoin payments to its network of over 4 million merchants. The deployment began on March 30, with eligible U.S. merchants automatically enabled for Bitcoin payments without needing to apply. Customers can pay via the Lightning Network, with transactions settling in seconds; merchants default to receiving payments in USD but may also choose to keep Bitcoin. Square will waive Bitcoin payment processing fees until December 31, 2026, after which a fixed 1% fee will apply; merchants can also automatically convert up to 50% of their daily sales revenue into Bitcoin.
