Odaily Planet Daily News: MEXC CEO Vugar Usi responded on the X platform to regulatory measures by the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), stating that the platform's deposit and withdrawal services have remained operational without disruption. Although withdrawal volumes have increased, overall system stability is maintained, and user assets remain secure. Vugar Usi said that after communication, blockchain compliance analytics provider Elliptic has restored MEXC Global to the standard 'exchange' category in its system and removed the previous special risk flag. Meanwhile, MEXC is seeking constructive dialogue with FinCEN and has initiated an independent review of its anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance controls. Previously, FinCEN issued a directive prohibiting U.S. financial institutions from processing fund transfers involving MEXC, accusing the platform of handling at least $16 billion in funds linked to sanctions evasion, cybercrime, and other illicit activities between May 2021 and May 2026, involving entities related to Iran, North Korea, and Russia.
